About us: The Events Team, within the Future Students, Communications and Marketing Department, delivers an exciting programme of corporate events and graduation ceremonies that share the University’s values and showcase UWE Bristol's achievements. We work across all areas and levels of the University to provide engaging events including a series of high-profile public lectures and conversations, staff awards, welcome events, building openings, graduations, and other celebratory events. We deliver high impact, reputational events that showcase the best of UWE Bristol whilst underpinning our strategic aims and values. 

We are looking for a new Events Officer to join the team. So, if you have a creative mind, an eye for detail and a sound understanding of event management, we’re looking for you. 

About you: To be successful in this role, you will have a wide range of events experience, be meticulous when it comes to planning and delivering events and be a creative problem solver. You'll be an excellent copywriter with experience of curating engaging events and content which is tailored to your audience.

You'll have experience of turning ideas into reality and working with both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be a key member of the team, assisting in planning, developing, and delivering the corporate events programme to engage a variety of audiences including students, staff, community partners and VIPs. As you'll develop and deliver communications using digital platforms, you'll need to have strong technical skills and understand how to use different channels and systems to improve and build relationships with audiences.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.

Interviews are scheduled to take place at our Frenchay Campus on Monday 11th March.

This is a full-time, permanent post working 37 hours per week.

This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.

This role is campus based for 3 days per week with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days.
