Due to an internal promotion, The Royal College of Art (RCA) is seeking an experienced Estates Events Manager to join our dynamic Estate Management division. As a world-leading institution for art and design, we are committed to delivering exceptional exhibitions and academic events both on and off our campuses.

Position Overview: As the Estates Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and delivering the college's exhibitions and key academic events. You will work collaboratively with the wider Estates team, ensuring the smooth and successful management of events encompassing built environment, security, safety, and service requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full delivery of the events schedule in collaboration with the show management team.
  • Project plan estates activities, ensuring timely communication with relevant team members and stakeholders.
  • Liaise closely with students, operations managers, marketing departments, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Oversee and control the Estates overall and individual show budgets.
  • Shape all show content from an Estates perspective, working closely with show committees and management teams.
  • Manage relationships with show partners, talents, and key associations.
  • Work on-site during events to manage relationships with internal professional services, students, and contractors.
  • Conduct post-show reviews, reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Guide the Estates team, ensuring regular training and development.
  • Provide policies, procedures, and documents for events, continuously improving them based on lessons learned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in event management, including developing and implementing operational plans and event programmes.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead teams to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with an eye for detail.
  • Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
