We are seeking a highly motivated, diligent person to provide administration support for internal research applications and join our Assurance team within the Research, Innovation & Impact (RII) Directorate.

About the role

The RII Directorate supports the research, innovation and impact activity across the University. The focus of the RII division is on excellence, assurance and operations. The role of Research Ethics Officer reports to the Senior Assurance Officer (Integrity and Culture) within the Assurance Team.  This is a varied and critical role co-ordinating administrative support of research applications, facilitating different stages of the research life cycle to maintain best practice encompassing governance (legislative) and compliance requirements.   Providing support for the University Ethics Committee and members and co-ordinating operational system for ethical reviews. 

 About you

We are looking for someone who can confidently communicate with people at all levels of the organisation internally and externally, with high attention to detail and accuracy.  Has experience of operating or supporting administration systems within higher education or similar professional environment. Excellent organisational and time management skills, proven ability to manage a diverse workload with competing deadlines.  Experience of ethical and governance issues in relation to research application requirements.
