Role Description
About the Role
The Research Ethics and Integrity Coordinator ensures the smooth running of the University Research Ethics System, providing first class management to ensure efficiency, professionalism, and high standards of customer service, recommending, and implementing improvements to processes where necessary.
The role focusses on two key areas of strategic importance to the University: Managing Research Ethics and supporting implementation of the Research Integrity Concordat, as well as providing more general management and support elsewhere as required.
About You
Applicants should have at least two years’ experience in an administrative role which includes understanding and managing office systems and processes. Experience of managing committee meetings and taking formal minutes is essential.
Experience of using systems including identifying weaknesses in system and processes and offering potential solutions for improvements. Applicants should have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. The ability to be able to work with autonomy and within deadlines and determine priorities.

The Research and Innovation Office facilitates high-quality academic research through leading the development of research strategy and policy, ensuring compliance with research governance requirements, supporting researchers to access funding and form new collaborations, engaging with the development of research information systems and advising on the contracting process. It also oversees key strategic research partnerships with both public and private sector corporate clients to maximise their effectiveness and works with a range of stakeholders to identify and bring to fruition new research opportunities.
