For half a century, the National Film and Television School (NFTS) has developed some of Britain and the world’s top creative talent. It is widely acknowledged to be the top school of its kind in the UK and one of the best internationally. In 2018, the NFTS was awarded both the BAFTA for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema and the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education.

We are currently recruiting for an Estates and Facilities Manager to take the work of the School forward. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is excited about working collegiately with staff and students to enable the work of the next generation of film, television and games-makers.  

The Estates and Facilities Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the NFTS site at Beaconsfield. You will manage the School’s estate and will oversee the further development and implementation of the estate strategy. You will lead a team to undertake the successful delivery of a full range of services to ensure the facilities are effectively maintained and proactively developed. You will be attuned to the needs of stakeholders and lead the department’s drive to provide excellent customer service and value for money.

You will be highly motivated and committed, with proven management skills and drive to work co-operatively with other staff in the School. Great interpersonal and communication skills are crucial, as well as a real commitment to a customer-focused approach. You will have an analytical approach to issues, with the ability to present solutions in a coherent and persuasive manner. 

You will be appropriately qualified and will possess relevant experience in an estates and facilities role within a Higher Education Institution, Film and Television Production Facility or other complex organisation. As a highly committed and proactive professional, you will be able to demonstrate a successful record of accomplishment in advancing service delivery, budget management and planning.
