Summary of the role

We’re looking for enthusiastic, customer focused people to join our community within our Estate Patrol, Campus Security Team.

You will be part of a team which safeguards the University’s diverse and vibrant community, assets and reputation whilst underpinning its values and supporting its key strategic objectives.

We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and our Estate Patrol Officers are first responders to any security and emergency incidents and are pivotal in providing welfare, safety and security support across the University estates.

Estate Patrol Officers provide an effective, efficient and highly customer-focused service in order to ensure the safety and protection of all our students, colleagues and visitors, and the security of all University property, by utilising security systems including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, CCTV, Alarm resolution, SafeZone response and Emergency Procedures and Planning.

There is an average working week of 42hrs per week with 12 hour shifts, alternating 4 Days / 4 Off / 4 Nights (06:30-18:30 / 18:30-06:30).
