At the University of Westminster, diversity, inclusion and equality of opportunity are at the core of how we engage with students, colleagues, applicants, visitors and all our stakeholders. The University’s People Culture and Wellbeing department are looking to expand their Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team in order to drive the delivery of the inclusivity objectives within the Being Westminster Strategy, as well as work in collaboration with the EDI Committee and embed delivery of the EDI Strategy and goals.
The EDI Officer will support the EDI Manager in actively engaging all stakeholders to promote, develop, embed and continuously monitor the University’s EDI agenda. You will take a lead role in promoting EDI through developing pro-active and supportive guidance and governance, as well as attend and contribute to relevant University committees, producing regular monitoring and progress reports to present to the EDI Committee. You will support the implementation of professional support structure for all colleague networks, providing operational and administrative support as required.
The successful candidate will have relevant practical knowledge and experience, including good working knowledge or the Equality Act 2010 and equality charters, frameworks and kite marks. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, as well as effectively work as a strong team player. You should have a passion and commitment to EDI.
