Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Researcher

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the University of Leicester as an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Researcher, to have specific responsibilities with initiating and establishing a research programme to develop and test an EDI checklist for cardiovascular trials.

In this role, you will be working collaboratively and independently as part of a research team to achieve defined milestones and produce high quality research as part of a wider programme.

For this research, we will be developing guidance to improve inclusion of underserved groups in research. This will include, but not be limited to:

  • Scoping reviews of recruitment strategies
  • National surveys to map current practice
  • Convening stakeholder and Delphi workshops
  • Beta-testing and process evaluation in clinical trials
  • Dissemination

You will have autonomy to lead in writing up research findings for dissemination amongst the research team and broader international community, and develop ideas and contributions for future grants, technical outputs. It’s a great role to network and make a contribution to the maintaining and furthering of the wider research programme and research area.


About you

As an ideal candidate, you will be able to demonstrate your expertise of a contribution to peer-reviewed journal papers, or equivalent, as well as have analytical problem-solving capability.

You will have a flair for communication, in particularly being able to communicate complex information and be able to work effectively as part of a team, as well as the ability to work independently.
