Epidemiology Group Lead for UK Biobank

The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. NDPH is home to the Clinical Trial Service Unit, a major international research institute and is also a key partner is the new Oxford University Big Data Institute.

As Epidemiologist Group Lead for UK Biobank, you will have primary responsibility for managing the UK Biobank Epidemiology team and will have the opportunity to develop, implement and lead a programme of epidemiological research using the UK Biobank data. You will play a key role in developing the strategic scientific direction of UK Biobank and represent the Group at a senior level at national and international events.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a PhD/DPhil or equivalent in epidemiology (or a related discipline) and relevant postdoctoral research experience in epidemiology, as demonstrated through publications and/or equivalent academic output. You will also have experience of leading and developing a research team.
