WMG is a vibrant, cutting-edge research institution at the University of Warwick, providing research, education and knowledge transfer in engineering, manufacturing and technology. We need an Engineering Technician with substantial experience of working in a chemicals laboratory, preferably someone who has a good understanding of battery chemistry, to join our team to provide technical support and engage with staff of all levels including external partners and organisations as required.

The team will benefit from your flexible approach to work and your high level of competence covering a wide range of disciplines including equipment installation and commissioning, experimental set up and general lab maintenance.

Excellent communication skills and a high level of health and safety awareness will be essential for the role in order to liaise with academics, students and other staff to set up, run and maintain specialist equipment and provide advice on the feasibility of practical experimental design and manufacture.

You will need to have successfully completed an engineering apprenticeship or HNC/ONC in Engineering or hold a similar qualification, along with relevant experience in a related engineering discipline / environment.
