FTE: 1FTE (working 37 hours per week)

Duration of Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months  

Salary:  UH6 £31,396 pa to £33,966 pa with potential to progress to £37,099 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience

Annual Leave: 25 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year 

Location: Bishop Square, Hatfield

Main duties and responsibilities

The Employment Compliance Officer will undertake the operational work of the Employment Compliance Team. You will provide a strong customer-facing service and maintain appropriate records systems to ensure the highest possible standards in compliance. You will work in a collegiate manner ensuring accurate and correct completion of processes in line with University and Government requirements and will provide advice on UK Visa and Immigration and Disclosure and Barring Service requirements. 

Skills and experience required

You will have excellent organisational skills showing the ability to prioritise and exercise good time management and be able to work accurately under pressure to tight deadlines. You will be proficient in the use of databases, spreadsheets and have experience of maintaining computerised and/or manual records and data. You will have a methodical approach with strong attention to detail. You will be able to deal with sensitive material with strict confidentiality. It is important that you are effective in a team setting but that you can also work on your own initiative, calmly and systematically in a busy environment. 

Qualifications required

Educated with a minimum of a Degree or to an equivalent standard or proven professional work experience.
