Oxford Brookes Careers is inviting applications for an Account Manager working with Small Medium Enterprises (SME’s) based in our Employability Team. This role will play a key part in supporting a wide range of employers in advertising their roles to our students and graduates and promoting these opportunities across the University.

Working closely with the Employability Team Manager and the Employer Account Manager for Large Corporate Organisations the overall purpose is to build and maintain relationships and effective partnerships with graduate recruiters across a wide range of industry sectors. This role also includes the management of our popular student Job shop, making links with local employers and advertising and promoting part time jobs to our students while they study.

You will work collaboratively to develop and deliver initiatives and activities that will prepare our students for the world of work and in securing good quality graduate positions.

As Employer Account Manager you will be:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with employers, pro-actively sourcing the full range of opportunities graduate, internships, project work and placements across all sectors;
  • Promoting opportunities to our students and graduates using effective and innovative methods of engagement;
  • Managing the on-campus Careers Job Shop;
  • Managing the Santander Internship Programme;
  • Managing a programme of on-campus employer events, including Job Fairs, Business Breakfasts and other networking opportunities.

We are looking for committed applicants motivated by challenge with proven:

  • Experience of working in roles developing networks, ideally in an employment context;
  • Experience of taking part in or managing events;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a highly productive member of a team.
