Location:  Bodleian Libraries, HR Shared Service, Clarendon Building, Broad Street, Oxford and Osney One Building, Osney Mead, Oxford

We are seeking an Employee Relations Manager to work within the HR Shared Service supporting the Bodleian Libraries and Ashmolean Museum.  You will work closely with one other Employee Relations Manager and the Head of the HR Shared Service to support the managers and staff of these two iconic institutions. As this is a senior role within the team, you will possess the experience and gravitas to lead both within the team and in casework and organisational change. 

You will understand the key strategic and operational objectives of the shared service and play a pivotal role in helping to achieve them by providing high-level HR advice and support. You will cover a wide range of HR issues, with a high focus on employee relations. You will be responsible for managing a significant caseload, finding pragmatic solutions to the issues at play and navigating departmental managers through the Library and University procedures/employment legislation to successful outcomes.

With a recognised HR CIPD qualification at level 5 or above, or equivalent, you will be confident and capable and have significant experience of providing HR support in Employee Relations issues. You are someone who enjoys a challenge and is accomplished in employee relations and problem solving. You can develop constructive working relationships at any level and are professional and proactive in your approach. You are able to offer sound judgement underpinned by your knowledge of employment law and good practice, and have a proven track record of advising and influencing at all levels.
