Job Description

Job Summary     

The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for providing guidance and training to a diverse team on a variety of important team management issues including recruitment, performance management and conflict resolution.     

This role is part of a team focused on an important global initiative to ensure Hult is a great place to work. This means you will work strategically to better understand and respond to employee needs and concerns.      

Responsibilities     

  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on a variety of sensitive employee relations issues
  • Support recruitment process for senior roles
  • Provide management and support for HR information systems
  • Maintain accurate employment records and files
  • Regularly report on and analyze staff employment data
  • Administer staff leave of absence programmes, special accommodations and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Communicate and enforce company policies and support with the review and updates to staff handbooks
  • Help prevent and resolve problems or disputes between employees and management
  • Assist with investigations into employee grievances and complaints and manage any related disciplinary processes
  • Work closely with internal and external legal departments
  • Other projects or duties related to employee recruitment and management
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 4-6 years’ experience as a human resources generalist with experience in employee relations
  • Relevant training, or a degree in human resources or similar. You will have gained the Foundation Level from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
  • Experience gained within higher education in the UK. However, the other relevant experience in business would be considered an advantage.
  • Experience and knowledge of HR operations and administration required.

  • Proven work experience as an HR advisor or similar role.

  • Strong attention to detail and consciousness in managing confidential information

  • Expertise in, and proven experience working with HR management systems

  • Ability to effectively develop and implement policies and processes.

  • Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly.
