The role

You are responsible for the successful delivery of electrical projects at the University of Bristol across our owned, leased and managed buildings on our three campuses.   

What will you be doing?

You will be delivering electrical projects utilising your professional and technical skills on electrical building services either as stand-alone projects or as part of multi-disciplinary teams dealing with refurbishment and the renovation of University properties.

Managing contractors and consultants involved in the delivery of projects across the University Estate to ensure they are working compliantly and following project processes.  Have an active part through working practices and group collaboration to make a positive impact on the delivery of the University Carbon Net Zero 2030 plan.

You will provide guidance and technical support on electrical systems to asset and project surveyor team members and other colleagues across the University. 

Working within the Asset Maintenance team you will also be responsible for contributing to detailed 5yr Capital Maintenance programmes.  You will support the maintaining of electrical systems and components data within our PlanOn Integrated Workplace Management System.

You should apply if

You have experience in delivering a varied range of electrical projects mainly in LV installation and occasionally HV network, are motivated in seeking ways of reducing the carbon footprint of an organisation by way of innovative solutions and energy management practices. 

You will have an excellent understanding of current industry and safety legislation such as CDM 2015, Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.  Possess a Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH or a willingness to undertake would be essential. Self-motivated, you are innovative, collaborative, and capable of building and maintaining excellent working relationships with a wide group of stakeholders.
