About the opportunity

The Educational Designer, working in close collaboration with the NCCC Director and the academic team, creates, develops, tests and implements innovative online educational resources aligned to the needs of the NCCC. Through the provision of deep technical knowledge and end-to-end operational support this position plays a leading role in adopting innovations in E-Learning, identifying and implementing new technologies, and developing education designs to improve learning outcomes that enhance the learning experience.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • work within a small inclusive team, reporting to the NCCC Director
  • create, develop, test and implement educational resources aligned to the needs of the work area
  • drive innovations and design creative learning experiences for NCCC online learning
  • provide strategic support and advice to staff on the effective use of educational and multimedia technologies
  • provide a broad range of education support in developing innovative tools and resources for curriculum.

About you

  • tertiary qualification in education and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training
  • strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritise workload during busy periods
  • ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, coupled with excellent negotiation skills
  • knowledge of University policies and procedures and administrative processes
  • ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
