DXA Operator/Technician (HealthScan)

We are currently seeking a full time, fixed term contract DXA operator/Technician to work within the HealthScan facility. The facility provides dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scans service to the local health economy for bone density assessment and provides body composition for elite sports athletes. The post-holder will assist in the clinical sessions preparation, including undertaking DXA scans under the direct supervision of the senior diagnostic radiographer.   

Excellent communication skills, team-working and the ability to adapt to client needs are essential to this post. The post holder must be able to undertake first aid and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training. Moderate manual and handling activities are essential to this role. An enhanced DBS is required for this role.

The post-holder is required to work flexibly to cover clinical sessions. This will also include some weekend and evening work.
