The Research and Innovation Office plays a leading role in shaping and delivering the University’s research and innovation activities and provides a high quality, added value and seamless service to researchers across the research development pipeline. 

As part of Loughborough University's ongoing commitment to trusted research and due diligence, we are seeking an individual to join our team as a Due Diligence Officer.

This position is full time and open-ended, on an Administrative Grade 5 salary of £27,979 - £32,982 per annum. About the role

This is a new role and has been developed to focus on facilitating an enhanced research culture that is exciting and innovative but also mindful of good and responsible practice, compliant with governance requirements, and operates with rigour and integrity. It will be essential in supporting the university’s exciting ambitions to increase research and innovation income and translate research to application over the next few years.

The Research and Innovation Due Diligence Officer will work closely with the Trusted Research Manager and other colleagues to ensure the University complies with established and emerging governance policies and regulatory requirements to ensure appropriate standards for due diligence and trusted research. This will include a significant amount of independent work drawing on knowledge and experience to support due diligence checks on third parties who undertake activities funded by external research coordination of the post-award third-party monitoring process and related activities to ensure the requirements of external research funders are met.
