Doctoral Training Centre Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Coordinator to join our newly funded Green Industrial Futures (GIF) Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT). The CDT is split across four universities, and you will be instrumental in facilitating the activities here at Bath, providing support for CDT students and the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Helping coordinate recruitment and admissions
  • Liaising with the other GIF CDT coordinators across the four member universities
  • Supporting the delivery of the bath based residential
  • Help support the management board and the student members of the GIF CDT
  • Contribute to the centre's marketing and outreach strategy, including website, social media, newsletters and promotional material

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of audiences
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT systems
  • A genuine interest and enthusiasm for the CDT’s vision and mission

Aligned to industry needs, GIF will deliver a world leading interdisciplinary research and training programme that will systematically bring together key technological solutions to fully decarbonise industry and address national and global priorities. GIF will provide challenging and original research projects co-created with collaborators focused on low-carbon H2  systems, advancing CO2 removal technologies and integration of technologies into industry.

The modular training elements of the programme will run parallel to student’s research projects.  This will include an Industry Challenge Project, Summer and Winter Schools where students will work closely with industry mentors to create real-world solutions.
