The Australian National University (ANU) is seeking to appoint an outstanding Director, Research School of Chemistry (RSC) with the ANU College of Science.

RSC is recognised both nationally and internationally as a leading chemistry school, conducting research in three broad areas - chemical synthesis, chemical biology, and materials chemistry – as well as presenting a modern, research-led education program for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The School has world-class research and teaching facilities and has an extensive network of interdisciplinary relationships across the ANU campus, and beyond.

Reporting to the Dean of the ANU College of Science, the School Director provides leadership and fosters excellence across the range of the School’s activities including research, education, and external engagement. he appointee will lead the School in the next phase of its evolution, facilitating and promoting a culture of high-performance and collegiality. They will be an effective advocate for the School, and will work collegially with other senior staff of the university to achieve the strategic aims of the College and the University.
