BCU is looking for a new Director of Library & Learning Resources to lead, develop and provide strategic direction to the Library & Learning Resources Directorate to meet the needs of the University.  The Director will drive innovation in learning, teaching and research across the broad remit of library and information services which also encompasses the University Archive and Special Collections.  You will lead the development of services to support expanding student numbers, collaborative partner provision, scholarly communications and technology enhanced services. 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a customer driven approach to service development with a focus on digital transformation, change management and cost effectiveness. You will be a qualified chartered librarian with relevant professional experience.  You will have a track record of impactful leadership across services supporting the customer journey.  Your customer service mindset will drive the design and implementation of outcomes focused and digitally enabled library and learning resources services.

Working directly with the University’s Pro-Vice Chancellor (Learning & Teaching), Professor Julie McLeod, you will proactively support the University Strategy 2025.  You will enable effective partnership working with external stakeholders, regionally and nationally. You will be ambitious for BCU’s and your own success because that success will reflect the great achievements of our students.
