About the vacancy:

From scheduling and planning, to creating content and designing, this exciting new role provides an opportunity to share your passion for sport and story-telling. You’ll deliver profile-raising content through UWE Bristol Sport’s social media and other digital channels to drive engagement in and awareness of student sport, physical activity and wellbeing at UWE Bristol.

Your focus will be to support the Performance Sport and sport development pathways, building a vibrant #TeamUWEBristol community while working with Sport Marketing Officer to ensure that business as usual combines with innovative campaigns and content delivery across the different areas of the sport pathway at UWE Bristol.

UWE Bristol Sport aims to provide every student with the opportunity to play sport or take part in healthy activity. Alongside this we strive to drive success through our Performance Sport Programme and encourage staff and the wider community to access facilities and participate in sporting opportunities.

About you:

With your curious nature and experience in creating engaging digital and social media content, you’ll communicate effectively with core audiences to build a dynamic and diverse #TeamUWEBristol community.

You can demonstrate creative flair in copy-writing and design, and show a passion for sport, wellbeing and exercise.

You’ll be able to prioritise your own workload and maintain high standards of accuracy to ensure deadlines are met and be an excellent communicator in order to build relationships across relevant university departments and with external agencies.

You’ll need an awareness of implementing brand guidelines and have some previous experience in a marketing or social media role.

Where is this role based?

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed – £300m has been invested in new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation while we continue to develop incredible new facilities  to enhance our offer even further.

Frenchay campus has excellent transport links ; as well as being located near the motorway network we are within walking distance of two train stations , our bus terminus connects us to the local bus and metrobus network and we also have a range of cycling and changing facilities.

This is a full-time, permanent post.

This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.

UWE Bristol is a campus-based University and it is important for our success and the delivery of an outstanding experience for our students that our campuses are dynamic and vibrant places to learn and spend time. This role is therefore campus based with the opportunity for remote working.

The University’s normal practice is that new appointments will be made at the starting point of the grade.
