About the Role

The purpose of this role is to ensure that staff and students in the School of Law, receive excellent support in their use of digital technologies for learning, teaching and assessment. The postholder will be responsible for driving and supporting digital learning innovation and development and will support the successful delivery and continual improvement in the quality of the education programmes within the School.

About the School

We are firmly established as a centre of national and international excellence in legal study and research. In the latest Research Assessment Exercise (REF2021) we were ranked 15th in the UK, according to Times Higher Education, with 87 per cent of our School’s research outputs classed as world-leading (4* the highest score possible) or internationally excellent (3*). The independent assessment of research quality takes into account the quality of research outputs, research environment and research impact. 

Our academic staff  are actively involved in public affairs in the UK, European institutions and international bodies, and have leading roles in legal scholarship. We have close links with law firms and leading members of the law professions in the UK and overseas. Some are involved in our teaching and others support students and activities within the school.

About You

You will have experience of using virtual learning environments (Moodle expertise desirable) at administrator, designer, instructor and user levels of access preferably within a higher education setting. You will also have knowledge of the functionality and effective use of learning technologies such as lecture capture, web conferencing and media streaming systems with specific knowledge of Mahara, Echo 360, Kaltura, Blackboard Collaborate and Zoom.
