The University of Bristol’s Digital Experience team is looking for a driven and innovative Digital Analytics Manager. If you are passionate about using data to share digital strategy and improve user experiences, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact.

In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on optimizing the digital landscape for students, staff and faculty. Reporting to the Senior Digital Delivery and Performance Manager, you will work to analyse user behaviour and identify trends to guide our digital strategy. Your role will involve collaborating with Product Managers and wider stakeholder groups to influence decisions that shape our digital platforms.

As our Digital Analytics Manager, you will need a blend of analytical skills and creativity. You should be well-versed in analytics tools, such as Google Analytics or Power BI. Beyond technical skills, you should be able to communicate complex data in a way that resonates with a variety of stakeholders. If you are great at spotting trends and translating them into actionable insights, we would love to hear from you.

You will:

  • Play a critical role in supporting new activity development and prioritisation by providing evidence, analysis and insight the Digital Experience team and our stakeholders across the University. ·
  • Lead our adoption and utilisation of a suite of digital analytics tools. ·
  • Work with a diverse set of internal customers to enable strategic foresight, sound tactical decision-making.
  • Contribute to the data and insight community across the University.

You will have: 

  • Experience in digital marketing or website management, showcasing a deep understanding of digital analytics tools and practices.
  • A proven track record in developing and managing high-profile, high-traffic, user-friendly digital products and services.
  • Excellent knowledge of data capture principles and regulations pertaining to digital products and services.
  • A comprehensive understanding of leveraging analytics to benchmark, audit, and enhance digital experiences.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools for tracking, gathering, analysing, and reporting digital analytics (e.g., Tag Manager, Google Analytics, DataStudio/Looker, Hotjar, Sitebulb, etc.).
  • Degree level education or possess equivalent experience.
  • Stakeholder management skills at both strategic and operational levels, advocating for innovative approaches and fostering exceptional client/customer relationships.
