The University of Oxford’s Medical Sciences Development team is recruiting a Development Executive to join a highly effective and fast-growing fundraising team. This role will focus primarily on raising philanthropic support for mental health research while also being responsive to other opportunities across the University as they arise, working closely with our world-leading academics.
We are looking for a highly motivated fundraiser with experience of raising five- and six-figure gifts. The role requires the ability to proactively research potential donors, initiate and build strong relationships (both internal and external), understand and discuss complex academic projects, and be passionate about gaining support for mental health research. Outstanding fundraising, stewardship and communication skills are needed to be successful in this role.
The Medical Sciences Division at Oxford has had an extraordinary time since early 2020, leading in many of the research areas relating to the pandemic, most notably on the Oxford–AstraZeneca vaccine. Part of the University of Oxford Development Office, the Medical Sciences development team is high-achieving and friendly. The team provides support to the 16 departments within the Division, raising funds for priorities such as global and mental health, as well as a number of other exciting and ground-breaking areas in medical sciences.
Only applications received before 12.00 noon on Friday 5 November can be considered. You will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application. Interviews are currently scheduled to take place on Monday 29 November.
