DevOps Engineer - Digital 

Permanent, Full time (36.5 hours per week) 

Hybrid working – Whilst we are happy to consider remote/hybrid working, our team is based on the Streatham Campus in Exeter and we really feel visiting and spending time as a team will be valuable to being fully engaged with the team.

Starting Salary up to £55,000. (This is a Grade F role with a starting salary from £39,745 up to £48,841 depending on qualifications and experience and currently attracts a Market Supplement of £6000)

We are currently looking for an Experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing Engineering Chapter. As one of our DevOps Engineers, you will be a key part of the team delivering innovative digital solutions using a cloud-first approach with modern technologies to enable our users to achieve their goals.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Working as part of a team who helps the delivery teams by ensuring they have the shared tools and practices in place to deliver and succeed.
  • Working to put suitable platforms, tools, governance, guidance in place to enable the cross functional teams to deliver at a sustainable pace with an automated Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) approach to platform and software delivery, adopting appropriate tooling and governance to create repeatable, resilient and controlled deployments.
  • Supporting the day-to-day management and control of all environments, from development infrastructure and applications right through to Production, ensuring they are aligned and the best possible service available to support business processes. Providing guidance on Financial Operations and suggesting improvements along the way

  • Great experience and skills in Dev Ops! (the technical stuff is in the job spec)
  • Strong AWS experience
  • Someone who is fired up to join our brand-new digital team and help us carve out our new digital capability from scratch!
  • Someone who is not afraid to bring new ideas to table and who wants to make a massive positive impact on the future of education.
