Grade 09S: £52,815 - £61,198 per annum

This is an important role in the Academic Office of the Social Sciences Divisional Office managing quality assurance of the division’s undergraduate and graduate programmes, strategic planning in areas such as student numbers, policy development, and support for academic departments. You will also manage the Graduate Studies team, which provides a focus for Graduate Studies in the division, and (working closely with the relevant departments) delivers administrative support for all aspects of student administration.

In addition, the postholder will provide oversight for the division’s academic committees and represent the division at relevant university level committees; analyse and present management information to support policy development and play a lead role in facilitating implementation. You will also represent the division on working groups for student systems to ensure developments support key divisional and subject-specific needs.

You will work closely with the Associate Head of Division (Education), Head of Education Policy and Planning, Directors of Studies and student administrators in departments, and key stakeholders in the central University carrying out these responsibilities.

Hybrid working arrangements will be considered in consultation with the line manager, but with the expectation of working at least two days per week based in the Divisional Office.
