Saïd Business School is seeking a Departmental Lecturer in Operations Management to engage in advanced study and academic research, to lecture and teach undergraduate and graduate students, and contribute to the teaching, research, and academic administration of the Operations and Technology Management academic group. This is a fixed term appointment (1 year).

The postholder will be expected to engage in teaching, assessment and teaching related activities. More specifically deliver classroom teaching up to 480 stint point and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students; to support the teaching delivery with advanced academic study to underpin lectures and class teaching, produce lecture notes, course materials, reading lists, and organise specific areas of the syllabus. The postholder will also engage in assessment and university examining and act as a first contact for student matters relating to attendance, conduct, coursework, performance, and welfare (referring matters to appropriate others).

The postholder will be expected to conduct independent research within the broader area of Operations Management. This should result in producing research articles for prestigious peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and reviews, present papers at conferences, and lead seminars to disseminate research findings. The postholder will be expected to carry out collaborative projects with colleagues in partner institutions, and research groups.

The successful candidate is expected to hold a relevant PhD/DPhil with post-qualification teaching and research experience, demonstrate an aptitude for teaching and awareness of pedagogic methods with sufficient depth and breadth of knowledge in the subject to develop course units. The candidate should have a strong publication pipeline and familiarity with the existing literature and research in the field as well as sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop research projects and methodologies. The candidates should possess experience of qualitative/quantitative research.
