The Faculty of Theology and Religion is seeking to appoint a Departmental Lecturer in Early Modern Christianity. This is a full-time, one-year fixed-term post from 1 September 2024 (you must be able to start at the latest on 1 October 2024).
About the role
This position is intended to develop the career of a highly promising scholar by providing opportunities for research, teaching and collaborative work in Early Modern Christianity and associated fields. You will primarily lecture and teach undergraduate and graduate students, and also get to conduct some independent research.
You will deliver lectures or classes (seminars) each year, and in addition, may teach and supervise essays and dissertations for the Faculty’s postgraduate taught Masters courses. You may also be asked to co-supervise DPhil students. Your role will also involve teaching and other administrative duties for Keble College.
You will become part of a vibrant research environment in both the Faculty and Keble College.
About you
You will hold, or be close to completion of, a postgraduate qualification (which would normally be a doctorate) in a relevant area, with evidence of an aptitude for teaching and some experience of teaching and research. The duties and skills required are described in more detail in the further particulars.
