The International and Regional Development Directorate includes; Degree Apprenticeships, UK Partnerships, the International Office, Salford Languages, Enterprise and the Industry Collaboration Strategy support team and is responsible for a core range of activities in line with the UK and International Strategic plan to promote partnership working.

This is a directorate incorporating UK and International partnerships and Degree Apprenticeship development, which is responsible for the strategic planning and operational delivery of key activities to support the University’s ambition for growth, diversity, increased profile and greater engagement with partners.

A key part of our approach is the development of a number of degree apprenticeships in response to growing demand from industry partners. These programmes will bring together relevant University staff, employers, stakeholders and partners from key industry sectors to co-design on and off the job learning for degree apprenticeships that respond to priority high-level sector skill needs identified in existing and planned degree apprenticeship standards.

The Degree Apprenticeships Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of degree apprenticeship administration and offer support to the Degree Apprenticeships Manager with tasks including assisting with the development of Degree Apprenticeships programmes within the University and liaising with and being responsive to external stakeholders to develop new business. The Degree Apprenticeships Coordinator will have a key role in supporting the development of systems and processes to ensure the effective operational management of the University’s Degree Apprenticeship portfolio with the University’s Schools and Professional Services.
