We have a fantastic opportunity for a Data Scientist to join the ISARIC Team at the Pandemic Sciences Institute, who creates tools that enable researchers to rapidly capture, process and analyse clinical data during and between disease outbreaks.

As a Data Scientist, you will design, build, and improve tools and methodologies for data collection and processing in collaboration with members of the ISARIC team and international partners. You will develop and implement methodologies to generate datasets that enable analysis while preserving privacy, such as synthetic and anonymised data. You will provide support in implementation of reproducible data analysis pipelines and communication of project milestones across the ISARIC network. Additionally, you will provide training and support clinical partners across all aspects of data capture, processing and analysis.

To be successful in this role, you will hold a Masters level degree in Statistics, Computing, or other numerate/related subject together with significant experience in data analysis. You will be proficient in writing Python or R code for data import & manipulation. You will have ability to organise and prioritise work with meticulous approach to data handling and documentation. You will also have excellent written and oral communication skills. Having understanding and/or experience of the use of health-related data for medical research is desirable.
