We are seeking an enthusiastic Data Manager, with an interest in bioscience, to join our large informatics group at Harwell Campus, Oxfordshire.

Do you have: 

  • A life sciences or computational degree with experience in large-scale data management and / or data curation
  • Experience in Software Development
  • Knowledge and interest in biological sciences

About us The Mary Lyon Centre is the national facility for mouse genetics! Our activities focus on applying mouse genetics, transgenesis and phenotypic screening to investigate mammalian gene function at a systems level. We are working with new genome editing technologies, which are allowing us to introduce genetic variants, especially those seen in human patients, as well as generating new mouse strains for preclinical and discovery research. We are also involved with the development and application of a number of new automated phenotyping tests, including those involving video and auditory analysis. Main duties include:

  • Ensuring our large multi-dimensional data is robust and reproducible
  • Providing technical leadership to the incredible work of The Mary Lyon Centre
  • Leading a small team of data scientists and data wranglers
  • Focusing on the collection, processing and management of data to support a multifaceted portfolio of work.
