Digital Services are responsible for the digital information, systems and technologies used by staff and students across The Open University. Covering all aspects of digital technology at the OU, from sourcing and maintaining systems, through to providing frontline IT support for staff and students.
The role
The Open University is recruiting a Data and Insights Analyst, specialising in EDI.
As the Data and Insights Analyst (EDI), you will play a critical role in supporting the University’s EDI priorities, specifically the University’s applications for a Silver Athena Swan (Gender Equality) institutional award, Bronze Race Equality Charter institutional award, and public sector equality duty annual reporting.
This will involve conducting in-depth analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, and crafting compelling insights through data visualisations via reports, presentations, and other analytical tools (e.g. dashboards).
The successful candidate will have an excellent opportunity to experience and contribute to an evolving area of research and analysis, i.e. analysing data through a social justice orientation and support the University’s EDI data-driven strategy.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have:
- A demonstrated passion and interest in equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Previous experience of manipulating and analysing large and complex datasets and interpreting the results into actionable insights.
- Excellent team-working, stakeholder management and project experience.
