Salary: Grade 7 (£37,099 - £44,263 p.a. depending on experience) 

The University’s Chief Data Officer has expert knowledge of IT change and transformation and heads up a new Data Services team covering data architecture, modelling and analysis, as well as data governance and quality specialists. This critical team will provide the analytical and data science expertise that will help enable our students to learn, conduct research and help shape a better future for everyone through easy access and sharing of data in a collaborative environment.

The Data Services team provide technical, legal and regulatory leadership and support and build analytical and data science capabilities that provide safe and secure (trusted) data environments for analysis and research. The team enable access to and sharing of data for education, research and wider purposes and will collaborate with partners across the sector and beyond to ensure impact. We are looking for an experienced Data Engineering Developer to join our Team. You will have responsibility for data engineering development to support our data integration and data repository programmes across the University. An effective team player, you will be self-motivated and able to prioritise your own workload and manage conflicting demands.
