Data Analyst & Evaluator - Widening Participation

Fixed Term Contract  starting May/June 2021 for 6 Months 

18.5 hours per week 0.5 FTE 

We are recruiting a part-time Data Analyst and Evaluator to process and analyse widening participation (WP) and Outreach data within the Outreach and Widening Participation Team. We aim to evaluate effective practice in encouraging not-yet-represented students to consider higher education.  

The role involves both quantitative and qualitative data analyses and all the data processing and information management that contributes to effective reporting.  You will work with mixed-methods survey data, progression statistics, and qualitative analyses to develop reports and recommendations. You will be working and alongside the WP & Outreach Data Officer (who has been seconded to conduct an externally funded research project) and you will be supported. 

Great attention to detail, along with enjoyment of spreadsheets and working with large dataset would be advisable. The team would appreciate if you were able to communicate findings to a non-specialist audience. An understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), widening participation policies and our Access and Participation Plan would also be helpful. 

This role would be suitable for a skilled post-graduate student to fit in alongside their studies. 

The post will be fixed term for six months, and we welcome flexible working  arrangements.
