We are looking to appoint a Senior Administrator to support our ambitious Curriculum Transformation Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to support our institution-wide transformation of programme design and assessment practice. The design process centres on co-creation with students and draws on insights from alumni, employers and the market. Through this we expect to improve student learning and graduate outcomes, reduce assessment burden, and create programmes of study which reflect the University's values.
Your role will be based within the Educational Excellence Team, a small sub-team supporting this important strategic change programme. They are a friendly and welcoming team who are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. The team are currently working in a flexible, hybrid way, with most team members working on campus 60% of the time and from home 40% of the time.
Your role will be to coordinate the Curriculum Transformation Programme operations, liaising with colleagues and students from across the university to ensure that they are able to perform their Curriculum Transformation roles to the best of their abilities. You will work closely with the Educational Developer and Senior Educational Developer to support the design process and student partnerships, and with the Curriculum Transformation Programme Manager to track and report on progress being made.
Your role will involve maintenance and preparation of project documentation and support to the core governance meetings. A range of senior administrative duties to support staff and students involved with the programme will include financial monitoring and support, coordination of work schedules and inductions, preparation of communications and enquiry handling.
You will have well-developed written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. You will be self-motivated and able to prioritise your own workload to deadlines, with experience of coordinating a project or programme workflow.
As a university we provide generous employment packages whilst supporting the wellbeing of our staff to help you reach your full potential.
This is a fixed term opportunity for 2.5 years (30 months). Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours) ; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Requests for secondment from internal candidates will be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Jo Clewes, email [email protected]. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
Our University is a supportive, inclusive, caring and positive community. We warmly welcome those of different cultures, ethnicities and beliefs – indeed this very diversity is vital to our success, it is fundamental to our values and enriches life on campus. We welcome applications from UK, Europe and from across the globe. For more information on the support we offer our international colleagues, see our Moving to Nottingham pages.
