Do you have knowledge and experience of marketing, recruitment and/or communications in the Higher Education Sector, with excellent audience awareness and insight, and the ability to create compelling copy and messaging? The role holder will be responsible for the planning and execution of digital and offline advertising campaigns to attract home and overseas students to the University. They will be responsible for a wide range of campaigns throughout the recruitment cycle and as such develop strong collaboration with other marketing and recruitment teams within the Directorate.  

As a Senior Marketing Campaigns Officer, you can expect to be involved in:

    Working with the Head of Marketing Operations to develop and deliver the acquisitions marketing & recruitment strategy and annual plans to maximise home and international UG and PG student recruitment.

    Taking an innovative approach to devising and creating campaigns that will attract students to the university.

    Working successfully in collaboration with other Heads of Profession to ensure that all acquisition strategies align with and support the whole future student recruitment funnel.

    Working with the Market Insight team to commission and share key market and competitor intelligence undertaking detailed market analysis to inform the provision, creation and opportunity for new or revised acquisition activity aligned to changing customer behaviour.

    Setting, monitoring, regularly reporting and assessing robust KPI tracking process, to ensure mitigation actions are responded to in good time and delivering good value for money and a good return on investment.  

    Collaborating, influencing and working effectively with colleagues across the University, other Heads of Profession within the central teams, and Divisional stakeholders including Divisional Marketing and Recruitment teams as well as Divisional Academics, to ensure success of all campaign work.

What we are looking for in the right candidate:

    Educated to degree level or equivalent.

    Membership of the Chartered Institute of Marketing/Chartered Institute of Public Relations or equivalent experience and/or professional qualification in marketing or communications.

    Demonstrable experience of working at a senior level in a marketing or communications setting.

    Demonstrable experience of planning and executing successful campaigns in line with marketing and recruitment strategy.

    Excellent understanding and experience of digital and traditional marketing practices.
