Do you have excellent communication, interpersonal and administrative skills, with experience of working in a busy and demanding customer service environment? 

We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organised candidate with a strong commitment to providing consistently high-quality service to students (prospective and current) to join our Accommodation team as a Accommodation Coordinator.

 As a Accommodation Coordinator you will:

  • Under the guidance of the Student Accommodation Manager, ensure room occupancy levels and student satisfaction are maximised.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to students, parents and staff, ensuring both written and verbal responses are professional, accurate and where applicable adhere to relevant policies, responding to complaints where appropriate.
  • Take responsibility for allocation of undergraduate, postgraduate students and students on short term studies, liaising closely with relevant departments to ensure operational processes are managed smoothly.
  • Provide sympathetic support and guidance to applicants taking into account their needs and other requirements so they feel fully supported by the University, and ensure they receive university accommodation appropriate to their needs.

As a Accommodation Coordinator you will need :

  • Previous experience in a busy hotel or student accommodation appreciating the complexity of accommodation administration and the need to maximise occupancy and revenue 
  • Experience of working in a busy environment where attention to detail, accuracy and meeting deadlines is critical 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills, giving the post-holder the ability to negotiate confidently with a range of people at all levels both internally and externally
  • Ability to deal confidently with difficult, pressurised situations and individuals either face to face or on the telephone, with patience, tact and diplomacy
