The CRM Assistant will play a key part in supporting the University’s CRM strategy, increasing awareness of the institution among key target audiences via email and SMS communications.

The CRM Assistant will help maintain the department’s CRM system and prospective student data. 

 Responsibilities

The post holder will be able to recognise good content and take a strong story or message and present it in a way that drives interaction from prospective students and wider audiences, typically via email or text message channels. They will also support the CRM team to measure and report what works. 

You will assist with the day-to-day administration of content emailed to prospective students using the CRM system.

Support the team with the maintenance of the CRM database, ensuring that contact filters are accurate and checked.

Assist with the delivery of content through CRM emails, ensuring that the story is brought to life in an engaging way which promotes interaction.

Work with the CRM Manager to regularly review the performance of our content by interpreting and reporting on statistics and supporting market research.

Engage with marketing and other colleagues to ensure prospective students and offer-holding applicants at all levels and modes receive effective communications.

Assist and support the wide range of activities undertaken within the Department in support of student recruitment, including open days, applicant visit days, business/community events, Clearing and the production of marketing collateral. 

Requirements

  • Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant area
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good IT skills with proficiency in MS Office, CMS and CRM applications.
  • Experience of forming and sustaining effective working relationships and networks.
  • Experience of working in education, public service or a knowledge based industry is desirable. Sensitivity to the higher education environment is essential.
  • The ability to write focused, targeted, effective and compelling copy for differing audiences and platforms. 
  • Some knowledge of HTML would be beneficial.
