About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Credit Control Manager. This exciting opportunity is within the Income and Credit control section of our Finance Department. The main responsibility of this role will be to oversee and manage the credit control team, ensuring effective and efficient management of credit risk and income collection for the university. This position will also involve working closely with the Head of Income and Credit Control, Fees Manager, and Income Manager. As a Credit Control Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining a strong credit control system, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and minimising credit risk for the University. This role requires a highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and leadership skills.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in credit control and a thorough understanding of financial processes and procedures. We are looking for someone who is passionate about driving results and contributing to the overall success of the University. You should be educated to a degree level and have relevant Credit control experience. You should be a qualified Credit Control Manager or in the final stage of completing your ICM exams. Additionally, the ideal candidate would have significant experience in managing a team, preferably in a higher education institution.

About the department

The role is based in the Income and Credit control section, part of the wider Finance Department of the Professional Services Directorate. The role is based in Department W with the opportunity for hybrid working.
