Salary: Grade 7 (£37,099 - £44,263 p.a. depending on experience)

Do you want to be involved in negotiating, reviewing and drafting research and innovation contracts? Are you pro-active and able to deliver to deadlines?
As a member of the Research and Innovation (RIS) Legal Team, you will provide high quality, customer-focused research and innovation support contributing to the strategic objectives and research culture of the University.
You will work closely with academics and faculty research and innovation staff to assist in the provision of research and innovation support. You will have particular responsibility for contract drafting, review and negotiation, providing an expert focal point in contract negotiation with external sponsors and in the review of contract terms and conditions on behalf of the University faculties.
You will receive training and support from experienced professionals within the team in order to develop your skill base and experience in the duties set out below.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have excellent communication skills, a strong interest in the development of effective partnerships with internal colleagues and external organisations and have the ability to work on your own initiative. You will additionally have intellectual property and contract law knowledge and a proven track record of drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
