The Department for Health is seeking a Consortium Manager to join the University of Bath.
About the role
An exciting Consortium Manager post is available in a major, new multi-partner, multi-disciplinary research consortium, Population Health Improvement UK: Commercial Determinants of Health & Equity. This grant is funded by the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and is one of the four clusters within the Population Health Improvement Network.
The Consortium Manager will play a key role, working closely with all partners in the grant to deliver on its aims.
You will operate at a senior level, influencing the strategic direction of the project. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational, risk and administrative management of grant and its team, ensuring that the work is delivered to a high standard and meets the requirements of the funder. The role is based within the Centre for 21st Century Public Health at the University of Bath. While based at Bath, the post will include overseeing work packages that are based at other universities.
You must have no previous work for or with the tobacco industry or organisations or individuals financially linked to the tobacco industry. To avoid potential conflicts of interests and to ensure compliance with Article 5.3 of the FCTC, applicants are therefore asked to declare any current or previous occupational activity with any tobacco, e-cigarette, e-liquid or vaping company or those receiving financial contributions from these industries, whether gainful or not.
In line with the Centre’s wider work, applicants are also asked to declare any links to or work for other unhealthy commodity industries notably ultra-processed foods, fossil fuels, alcohol and gambling industries.
This role is offered full time (36.5 hours per week) fixed term basis for an expected duration of 48 months.
