Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Data and Governance Manager passionate about women's health to lead our data governance initiatives. As a pivotal member of our team, you will oversee the management, analysis, and protection of sensitive health data, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines. Your expertise in data management, interdisciplinary collaboration, and communication will contribute to a wide range of research activities aiming to improve women's health outcomes. Desirable candidates will possess a strong background in health data, study set-up, technological proficiency, and a commitment to promoting health equity and diversity.

This post will be offered on an a fixed-term contract until 31 December 2025.

This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.


Key responsibilities
  • Support department ethics applications
  • Support data entry for diverse studies
  • Manage sharepoint data files 
  • Ensure governance requirements are met for data storage 
  • Liaise with GSTT and KCH R&D departments

Skills, knowledge, and experience

Essential criteria

  • Higher degree in project management or equivalent
  • Data management proficiency with the ability to compile, interrogate and analyse data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to accurately document technical details and convey complex information clearly.
  • Able to work independently and take initiative to problem solve
  • Experience of collaborative interdisciplinary working
  • Knowledge of information governance and compliance management including  GDPR, REC, MHRA
  • Committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, actively addressing areas of potential bias
  • Experience of research management including study set-up, administration, data entry and high level of attention to detail.
