The post holder will contribute significantly to research, enterprise development and commercial training in the area of the applications of the Interferometric Synesthetic-Aperture Radar and the Ground Penetrating Radar in monitoring Civil and Highway Engineering infrastructure and the forestry management. The successful candidate is expected to engage with the supervision of the students' projects at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Candidates with strong numerical and mathematical modelling background, high level of understanding and experience of the signal and image processing techniques and fieldwork experience are particularly encouraged to apply.

In addition, the successful individual will contribute to new research fundraising activities and will work as part of a team of researchers within the Faringdon Research Centre of the University (part of the School of Computing and Engineering). 

Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant subject area with a demonstrable track record of research within the field. For successful applicants without relevant teaching qualifications, they will join the UWL Academic Professional degree apprenticeship scheme supporting the UK government’s commitment to up skill the UK workforce.
