About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Communications team at Kellogg College as our Communications Officer.

As the Communications Officer you will report to and work closely with the Director of Communications. You will support and assist in the development and implementation of the Communications strategy, ensuring that the College targets key audiences as well as raising awareness of Kellogg through the appropriate channels. You will also be responsible for evaluating and reporting on the success of the communication initiatives.

You will be responsible for identifying and engaging with a range of stake holders and audiences, providing timely and relevant information to them as appropriate. You will plan, develop, create, and publish communications for the college website and social media, acting as a brand ambassador, ensuring all communications follow the College and University guidelines on branding.

You will be joining the University of Oxford’s most international and egalitarian college, with a unique mix of students. Kellogg is the University’s leading college for students reading for degrees on a part-time basis and has a strong and vibrant body of full-time students. The College’s wider academic community includes members drawn from across the full range of academic disciplines in the University.

About you 

A digitally savvy and creative storyteller, you will have communications experience in print, digital and social media and proven experience in producing effective web content. You will possess excellent writing skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to communicate complex concepts to a non-specialist audience.  You will have excellent research and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and proficiency working with a range of computer based and online applications, including website content management systems.
