The Communications Manager will play a specific lead role in developing and managing overall communications to drive and support the University Strategy and Vision, including progress with implementation. This will involve working closely with the Vice-Chancellor, members of the University Executive and senior leadership team.
You will build key relationships with senior leaders across the University to support the development of a consistent, impactful narrative to help distil complex messages in line with the University brand, making it accessible, understandable, and relevant to applicable internal and external audience groups.
The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills and be comfortable in providing high-quality written communications using a range of channels and platforms.
Due to the importance of links to the senior team, this role is positioned in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, however,will work closely with the Corporate Communications and Reputation Management team and will be expected to participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota.

Our team has a blended approach which includes remote and on campus working. The frequency with which colleagues will work on campus will depend on the role and the needs of the University. Some colleagues work on campus 5 days a week and others perhaps 2 or 3 days.
