We are excited to invite applications for a Communications and Design Officer funded by the EU, as part of a new European Partnership on Animal Health and Welfare (PAHW). The position will be based in the School of Biosciences at the University of Surrey but will involve working closely with colleagues in the School of Veterinary Medicine. You will be part of a large team and will support communication and educational activities in a vibrant, interdisciplinary research environment with a strong international reputation.

If you have previously written engaging and high-quality print and digital content for internal and external audiences, then this could be the perfect role for you. In this role, you will enjoy the responsibility for providing proactive internal and external communications and design support for the Partnership in Animal Health and Welfare working as part of the PAHW Communications Team, including contributing to the design and branding activities for the partnership. We would especially be keen to hear from candidates who have previously worked as part of an international scientific project team.

The ideal candidate will have creative design experience for the promotion of events, digital marketing experience with websites (WordPress) and social media channels, and email marketing experience. Experience of PHP, UX/UI, Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator would also be desirable. Previous experience of working as a Project Communications/Design Officer would also be advantageous.
