About the role

This 1.0FTE full-time post is available immediately on an open-ended basis.

This role sits within the Business Schools Flagship Programmes Team. The role will provide core and strategic communications, social media and student engagement and relationship support for the Flagship Programmes (currently The Exeter MBA, MSc Management and MSc Financial Analysis and Fund Management). This is a small, dedicated team = working across several activities; recruitment; employability and careers; programme administration; stakeholder management and student engagement. This role is embedded within the Flagship Programmes office based at the Business School, Streatham Campus.

About you

We are looking to appoint an organised person who will be responsible for building key relationships with students for the Business School’s Flagship Programmes. Knowledge of social media will be required as you will need to develop strategies and ideas for continuing and improving student/alumni engagement on social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat, WeChat etc. You will need to be proactive in embedding a ‘cohort community’ with current master’s students during their programme, and work closely with the Business School alumni team, employability and careers consultants and marketing team to develop a range of activities (both face to face and online) to meet the particular needs of students and alumni.

You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with colleagues and students from a wide range and diverse background. Experience of working in Higher Education would be advantageous. The role holder would be expected to act as a flexible member of a wider team, offering support and assistance across one or more of the programme and other specialist programmes as appropriate and required.

About Education and Academic Services

The Education and Academic Services (EAS) Directorate provides all of the key administration and education support activities that underpin the student experience from Fresher's week to Graduation. This role is within the Education Support team which provides the core and critical operational support for teaching administration and support for delivery of taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
