Are you passionate about creating unforgettable experiences which connect people? Do you thrive on delivering projects to time and on budget in a customer-oriented environment?

As Commercial Marketing, Events and Conferencing moves into a pivotal period of growth at the University, we are looking for a Commercial and Corporate Events Officer, who will create and deliver events on our campuses that inspire, educate, and transform, whatever the content.

From enquiries to site visits, to on-the-day delivery, this role is about collaboration, relationships, and reputation building. We showcase our clients (internal and external) and their knowledge/products/services as much as our University, the city, and region in every event we do; therefore, strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

You will take ideas/visions from clients to deliver high quality events using our world-class and diverse facilities. From academic, research, and commercial conferences, symposiums, corporate University events, and student projects, to external venue hires and event delivery, this role is varied and provides strategic added value for students, staff, and external customer alike. With no two days the same, being able to adapt and prioritise is key; you will often need to work with complex briefs and tight deadlines, so resilience and keen attention to detail are imperative to successful and safe events.

With an array of academic venues, on campus accommodation, exceptional sports facilities, and hospitality packages, we have an extensive portfolio of goods and services which can provide unique event experiences in an unrivalled setting. Because of this, you will be building bespoke and complex proposals and working with multiple teams internally to deliver your events.

We are seeking someone with strong business and financial acumen who can maximise opportunities, enabling re-investment back into facilities and experiences, whilst having the ability to identify and deliver non-income generating activities priorities at the same time. Balancing this is key to the team’s overall performance.

You will work closely with the Head of Area as well as provide ad-hoc support to the Director of Commercial in support of the department’s activities.

In support of our commitment to developing colleagues by providing opportunities for internal movement and promotion, applications for this opportunity will only be accepted from people who are currently employed by the University of Lincoln. We actively encourage applications from across the University with the relevant skills and experience.

For an informal discussion, please contact Heather Stephen , Head of Commercial Marketing, Events and Conferencing.
