About this role

This is an exciting opportunity as a College and Service Liaison Manager within the Student Information System Project (SIS), a major initiative for the University within our Student Journey Programme of work.  The SIS project will change our core student records system and enhance the way in which we deliver services to our current and former students. 

As College and Service Liaison Manager you will be a key member of the core project team making an impact by implementing the Business Change strategy.    

Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager, your role will involve working with stakeholders and teams from across the University so this is a real opportunity to create impact and understand the HE environment.  You will be using Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams, as such we value staff development particularly in digital skills. Your duties will include:

  • Developing and managing engagement events and activities, this could be delivering a presentation at a team meeting or facilitating a workshop.
  • Developing and implementing a communications plan, working with existing channels and Internal Communications team at UWE.
  • Updating and maintaining the Business Change plan to ensure delivery.
  • Supporting the core project team, Programme Manager and Business Improvement Manager in project activities aligned to Business Change.

We are operating in a hybrid manner, on campus and remotely, so it is possible that depending on the project needs, you will be able to work from home on some days.

About you

You will work with wide range of stakeholders from across the University so an exceptional customer service ethos alongside excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.  You’ll have a solutions focussed approach and be able to absorb knowledge quickly and put it into practice.

We will be looking for a candidate who can get things done, influence, and lead initiatives in order to meet project objectives. You will work well within team and as an individual representing the Business Change function. 

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.

Interviews are scheduled to take place at our Frenchay Campus from week commencing 15th April.

This is a full-time, fixed-term post for 12 months, working 37 hours per week.
